Bestie Butterscotch Bars
Bestie Butterscotch Bars

My teacher besties came for a long weekend visit. One of my friends made these awesome bars for us. They're a simplified version of a 7 layer Magic Bar.

The original name of the recipe has been changed, but that's a funny story for another time.

Ingredients

1/2 stick butter, melted
1 sleeve graham crackers, crumbled into small pieces
1 can condensed milk
1 bag chocolate chips
1 bag butterscotch chips
1 cup pecans, chopped

Instructions

Spray a 9x13 cake pan with Pam. Pour melted butter into bottom of pan.

Add a layer of graham cracker crumbles on top of bottom.

Pour condensed milk on top.

Add chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and chopped pecans.

Bake at 325 for 25-30 minutes.

Ideas

The orginal recipe calls to bake for 30 minutes. My oven runs on the hotter side, so 25 minutes was closer to done. You don't want to overbake, or they will be dry.

Make them your own: swap peanut butter chips for the butterscotch chips, adding coconut, white chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, dried fruit, or mini M&Ms.
