Eggroll in a Bowl
A classic unwrapped
This Eggroll in a Bowl is one of Reagan's favorite things, so we are certainly missing her tonight. Usually, I'm making this, and she's making the Fried Rice. Can't wait for her to be home from college, so we can cook together again.
This is one of those recipes that you can make without measuring anything. Love that!
Ingredients
1/2 head of cabbage, chopped
1/2 small, yellow onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1/2 bag of shredded carrots
3 green onions, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 16 oz. roll of pork breakfast sausage
Salt & pepper
Ginger
Soy Sauce
Sesame Oil
Instructions
In a large skille over medium heat, brown sausage, season with salt and pepper. Add onion and bell pepper. Cook until onions are translucent. Add garlic. Stir
Add shredded carrots and cabbage. Stir.
Add salt, pepper, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil to your preferred taste. Cover.
Allow cabbage to cook down, stirring occasionally. Season again with salt, pepper, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
Add green onion. Stir and serve.
Ideas
You can replace soy sauce with No Soy Soy Sauce. I like the one by Ocean's Halo.
You can use fresh or ground ginger.
While this is perfect on its own, it pairs really well with Fried Rice.
