Pulled Pork Rub
no smoker, no problem
I'm a simple girl, who loves easy recipes. That's why I love this pulled pork rub. I always have these ingredients on hand. I can mix it all together, throw it on top of a pork butt in the crock pot, and have amazing sandwiches at the end of the day.
Ingredients
1 Tbsp ground cumin
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp onion powder
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 Tbsp cayenne pepper
1 Tbsp salt
1 Tbsp ground pepper
1 Tbsp paprika
1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix together all the spices and brown sugar.
Spoon on top of a pork butt or pork shoulder.
Cook per your preferred method - oven, smoker, crock pot. I usually do mine long and low in the crock pot.
Shred. Serve one buttered, toasted buns.
Ideas
While the pulled pork is perfect as it is, we reallly like to have it as a simple Cuban sandwich. Butter and toast your bun, add a little mustard, provolone, and pickles, and you have one fantastic sandwich.
Not in the mood for a Cuban, add a little of your favorite bbq sauce.
