Sugar Plum Cheese Danish
A Strabucks Favorite at Home
I had great intentions of making these during Christmas. I didn't quite make it, but they were definitely worth the wait.
Ingredients:
1 Puff Pastry Sheet, thawed
1 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 cup Plum Jam
1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Mix softened cream cheese, sugar and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, mix plum jam, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Cut 1 puff pastry sheet into 9 squares.
Place cut sheets into a greased cupcake tin.
Add cream cheese mixture and then the jam mixture. Don’t over fill.
Bake for 14-18 minutes. Keep an eye on them after the 14 minutes or they may end up a mess.
Cool slightly before serving. Store in the fridge.
Ideas
These are very easy to overfill. The next time, I make these, I will probably both two puff pastry sheets and make 10 or 11 Sugar Plum Cheese Danish and make some Nutella Pastry Twists with the remaining puff pastry.
